OOC INTRO: JANUARY

State of the Game
Hello again, islanders, and welcome newcomers! In December, the island of Chol made its debut, bringing with it dire hints as to the state of LifeAftr for the duration of January. We heavily encourage newcomers to read up on the specifics of Chol as linked above, as this will be relevant in the intro log. We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on January 5th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up! An event in the latter half of January will come with a high risk of death, meaning that the span of time for death penalties will be significantly reduced

2. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but after the first few months, we are going to stop warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out!

3. Additional goodies. Newcomes showed up with some extra treats in their knapsacks, to better prepare them for the cold and dark days ahead. This should have been noted in everyone's acceptance notices! Please let us know if, for some reason or another, you didn't receive these particular goods.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of January - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Tell us about them: Dying girl from a post-apocalyptic world where everyone is already dead. She's grown into being a super curious individual that wants to be near e v e r y o n e. She's a literal raccoon that collects trash and thinks that shiny rocks are awesome treasures. Generally ambles around, likes to play games, to be around people and hold hands. Her special talents include hiding from anything that remotely scares her, being a cat whisperer, playing tag, and making flower crowns. She might accidentally steal from you!! But she's doing her best and has a good heart. Also has a cat friend she will happily ramble about forever. Here's her inventory for trading.

Current plans: Any CR is welcome! I'm always game to be put on explorations as well. With the upcoming winter, she's going to hide wherever it's warm. Probably roll around in the snow until death happens and she's gonna hide her butt wherever it's safe.
