After being caught outside the safe zones during the islands' reset cycle, Damen will awaken to discover that, for some reason, no matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to touch anything: all parts of him phase right through objects and people and vice versa. While this may seem novel, he should take care not to have any of his body parts stuck somewhere unseemly for a prolonged amount of time - he can never know when this effect might suddenly wear off, and he probably doesn't want to see the result.
