b) The defenses around the barracks are solid, with guard towers placed at every corner and a seemingly endless patrols in groups of 3 or more militia members. While not inherently aggressive, part of the Ai'tuohan militia doctrine seems to include keeping their weapons in hand at all times, if not at least visible on their person.
