State of the Game
Hello again, islanders, and welcome newcomers! You've chosen quite the opportune time to materialize on our collective horizon; last month saw your fellow adventurers implementing a haphazard rescue from a very strict sort of civilization, much to their chagrin. Following that debacle, they were given the opportunity to vote for whichever destination they wanted to travel to next, and the decision boiled down to an island that contains vegetation.

April's intro log will be taking place on the brand new island of Ziziphus, so we recommend that you read up on the new island over HERE, as it will be relevant on this month's intro log!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on April 5th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but we have stopped warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Search Requests. Boy, it's been a while since those have been strictly necessary! While Monsun was rather small, Chol and Ai'tuoh both had plot elements that were rooted in the civilizations inhabiting their respective islands rather than the islands themselves. Ziziphus and its overall relevance to the plot will be much more similar to the central island of Ensō: how much players get from the island will depend on how much they explore. With that in mind, make sure to account for the satisfaction of other players, as well as IC limitations to how much your character can reasonably be expected to chart in one day; if they encounter some serious dangers, they may need a few days to recover before setting off once more.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of March - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! Tell us about yourself: GMT timezone so backtagging forever, she pronouns are fine. Technically I am on hiatus until tomorrow whilst I catch up from a weekend away but it turns out I'm not missing the intro log after all so the hiatus was a little moot.
Character: Shion savedbyasong

Tell us about them: Shion is a naive child from a dystopian city who got into more trouble than he could handle, got rescued by an overdramatic jerk and has white hair and red eyes due to an incident with a parasitic bee. He believes that people are worth saving and tend to try and do the Right Thing even if that causes further problems down the line. He comes to these islands via a two and a half year stint in a horror game and so is... less innocent to say the least.

Last month the new island hit every single one of his triggers and was Bad. He lost control and tried to destroy the city then got into two (2) fights, with Laurent and Gabe. After a heart to heart with Ignis he realised that he's not okay and is making steps to be better. He went to visit Connor and failed in trap evasion and got shot in the leg, he's mostly been resting and recovering since.

Current plans: I do have a few actually:

1) Shion wants to organise a Information gathering meeting of the islanders so everyone can share what they know.
2) Shion and Ren whilst on the floating islands in February decided on an island wide game of baseball. It didn't happen in March but it will this month.
3) At some point he is going to save Aster, because it's his turn
4) Training, maybe. Depending on development
5) I'd like to get him into exploring, especially since plants are something he is actually good with! So any groups that would like an ecologist lmk!
