State of the Game
Hello again, islanders, and welcome newcomers! You've chosen quite the opportune time to materialize on our collective horizon; last month saw your fellow adventurers implementing a haphazard rescue from a very strict sort of civilization, much to their chagrin. Following that debacle, they were given the opportunity to vote for whichever destination they wanted to travel to next, and the decision boiled down to an island that contains vegetation.

April's intro log will be taking place on the brand new island of Ziziphus, so we recommend that you read up on the new island over HERE, as it will be relevant on this month's intro log!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on April 5th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but we have stopped warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Search Requests. Boy, it's been a while since those have been strictly necessary! While Monsun was rather small, Chol and Ai'tuoh both had plot elements that were rooted in the civilizations inhabiting their respective islands rather than the islands themselves. Ziziphus and its overall relevance to the plot will be much more similar to the central island of Ensō: how much players get from the island will depend on how much they explore. With that in mind, make sure to account for the satisfaction of other players, as well as IC limitations to how much your character can reasonably be expected to chart in one day; if they encounter some serious dangers, they may need a few days to recover before setting off once more.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of March - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! Tell us about them: Prompto loves his friends and fails in the general direction of girls. He's been on the islands since the beginning and wants to stay in order to avoid the ending of his game. He has a few subjects that are touchy, but he's more likely to become withdrawn than to lash out or be angry. He likes awesome people who help out the community!
He also has a muddy brown chocobo named Coco. Would you like to see the 10,000 photos he's taken of him??
He's a sharpshooter and has a limited amount of bullets he can use each day. He also has some combat training. He's more of a Damage Dealer than a tank.
Current plans: I tend to let things flow how they will! I'm cool with any kind of CR. His BFF Noctis recently disappeared from the island in a more permanent sense, so he's going to be down and needs some friends. He will happily befriend girls, but be prepared that he'll be far more awkward around girls close to his age than guys. The way he acts around girls is as if he got all his advice from terrible dating magazines and then just ends up like a deer in headlights, tail wagging.

Anything else: I was busy recently mostly watching some kittens that just had surgery. They get their staples out tomorrow, so I should have more time for activity then!
