He didn't complain much about it because Noct was alive and Iggy was depending on him. But for all that time Ignis had been severely wounded and was doing his best to recover from that, and Noctis wasn't always around, leaving him to try and take care of things based on his survival skills. He never felt like he had someone he could exactly lean on.
