Event Conclusion: Neverwere

EVENT CONCLUSION: NEVERWERE

As of the Storyteller's efforts to contact those they can, a bit of light has been shed onto the situation. The good news is that those still tangled in their fantasies can be rescued! The bad news is that it certainly...won't be easy.

When My Dreaming Days Are Done

It's time for you to meet the avatar of Ziziphus. They have been called Rapsho, Scioli, the Sweet Bloom, countless other titles, but their true name is Bliss.

Bliss has acquired immense power by capturing others and using fabricated happiness to bolster themself. In the past, they've subsisted off of the local wildlife they could trap with their vines - such as, for example, tigerlilies - and drain of life over a period of days by pumping their minds full of glorious fantasies and feeding off the resulting contentment. But when a feast of this much prospective happiness wandered onto their shores, they could hardly resist. They took the time to gauge the right moment before striking in an effort to envelop everyone possible.
The force of their energies has allowed them to assume a far more tangible form than most other avatars thus far. It is for this reason that they can influence things as far as they have, but this advantage is a double-edged sword; their physicality means that they are vulnerable to attack. The Storyteller may be reluctant to say it outright, but there really is only one solution here that guarantees the safety of everyone caught in Bliss's snare.

You must kill them.

A god swollen with this much overindulgence has made themself an easy target. And under the Storyteller's protection, you may engage Bliss on two fronts: on the landscape of dreams, tearing away the false, fantastical realities with every memory of despair and hopelessness you can muster; and on the physical plane, trekking through the vine-tangled heart of Ziziphus's woodland to reach Bliss in the...well, we hesitate to say flesh.

You will find them on the region of E3. Once you reach them, we will be putting up a top-level on the event log with which you can engage them, with words or otherwise!
The Storyteller Needs YOU!

So what does this mean for those who want to take action? We're so glad you asked! There are several important tasks for player characters to undertake, if they're willing:
[ ♆ ] Dream Invasion: Those who have not been roused from their fantasy worlds by May 17th will need people to break them out. With the Storyteller's aid and your own awareness of the situation, you can engage other people's fantasies for the sole purposes of stripping them apart with the worst memories you can imagine. These memories will start to work their way through the cracks of the dreams, and tarnish the rose-colored lenses.

[ ♆ ] Search Requests: Bliss is located on the E3 square on Ziziphus, meaning that people will need to cover quite a bit of ground. The more angles of attack you employ to take Bliss off guard, the better! Those who choose to embark on uncovering Ziziphus on the way to Bliss will have to contend with the god's vines in addition to any potential dangers in the area!

[ ♆ ] Let's Finish This: The combination of physical onslaught and the fragmenting of their dream-realities will weaken Bliss tremendously, but the Storyteller's reluctance does not undercut the necessity of what must be done. Bliss must be killed, and their physicality allows one to do just that. You're free to cut them apart, but like most of the creatures on Ziziphus, Bliss is most vulnerable to fire.
Please feel free to use this post for plotting as necessary! While we won't be putting up any sign-ups for groups unless necessary, you can use the points above as a guideline for what courses you can see your character taking.
