OOC INTRO: JULY

State of the Game
Welcome, newcomers, and hello again to the oldcomers! June saw our adventurers take a much-needed break from their shenanigans back in May; killing a god will take a lot out of you! But now, the latest voting session during the Storytelling must be taken into account. It was a close call, but islanders voted in favor of the island that contains ore.

You can look forward to more information regarding the island you've chosen appearing in our OOC comm soon!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on July 5th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. We've recently switched to the ACSavior tool! This means that, while we no longer require that you tag your characters in the comms to have your AC counted, we strongly recommend it for housekeeping purposes! Characters who fail AC will be swept. We will also be following up with players who are getting consistent strikes or regularly passing with the bare minimum. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of July - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have a plurk for the purpose of making mod announcements. We also have a game discord channel, which you are welcome to join!

HELLO THERE the drifter is good pals with the knight and is probably going to be extra relieved that this person from their world isn't like.......the actual worst

Hello! Yeah the Pale King was the worst dad but at least Grimm is the most chill 'god' in Hollow Knight, ritual or not. As for parenting they may want to ask the Knight about their child with Grimm. That will clear things up! Or not, haha.

I've actually been meaning to play more of Hyper Light Drifter but work's been making that hard sadly :( It's really fun so far!

I have a fondness for hard games so I'm sad that work is keeping me from it. I have beaten the Hierophant and I want to see more :D
