[Alas, Zidane, Prompto was arguably pretty but he was not a girl. He should know better than to approach anything in Mu, but he had innocently stopped for a small sip of water and discovered that mimics came in many forms. His gun wasn't the most useful thing here, and his knife was a bit short to reach the thing that had caught his leg. He had one foot on the outside of the 'well', firmly pushing against it to keep it from pulling him in, and the other up in the air being tugged on while he weapon his back.
Luckily, a brave and daring hero was coming to the rescue. Prompto noticed him from the corner of his eye, figuring he just 'needed to hold on for a minute', when... suddenly a blade stabs into the ground right next to his head.
With a yelp he tried to roll away from it - which was pretty hard when one of his legs was caught - nearly causing him to slip with the foot that was holding him away.
Worst. Heroing. Ever. Zidane was almost as bad as he was.
He did grab the blade and make some wild swings at the gooey rope around his ankle, though.]
