Diego's instincts are correct; Taako absolutely will make fun of him and everything he cares about, but that's part of his...charm? It's unavoidable, anyway. It's not really antagonism, even. Taako's treatment is refreshingly egalitarian in that way.

He notes Diego's inexpert evasion but doesn't comment, though the assertion re: boiler fixing gets a doubtfully backturned ear. He's not sure it is easy, actually, but why quibble. Taako has many hidden depths but boiler lore isn't in there. Mostly what's in there is currently unsolicited advice.

Swept away by his own (unearned) grievance Taako gestures expansively, from the boiler to any number of nebulous potential responsibilities that might lurk in Diego's future, before changing tacks completely.
