OOC INTRO: NOVEMBER

State of the Game
Hello again islanders, new and old! October was a rough month for a lot of those unlucky adventuring souls; between carnivorous monkeys and crystalline viruses, to say that you explorers have had your hands full would be an understatement to say in the least! We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on November 3rd. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. Resources. We hope you like fish, because your resource pool has started to dwindle with overforaging and the reckless destruction of important parts of the island's ecosystem, such as monkeys. While October was a busy month, creeping into November it's advised that characters start looking for ways to farm or maintain a food supply of their own in case of a shortage.

3. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but after the first few months, we are going to stop warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept.

4. And Beyond. November will see the introduction of a new island for character exploration! Logistics and details will be provided later, but rest assured, this new location looms steadily on the horizon...

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of October - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur!
