The sudden lip of the "island" tripped her up and sent her sprawling, and probably would do the same for Shion too, unless he let go. But that may have ultimately been for the better, because while Mu did apparently see fit to give them an island... it was a circle of rock barely five feet wide. Hardly big enough for the two of them.
