March Trading Post

Hello, everyone! This is Casey, player of Edward Elric and Chip Abaroa, bringing the monthly trading post back tot he game! I haven't been keeping on top of this mostly because...well, updating that supplies and mapping bit was next to impossible with my work schedule. So I've dropped that part of these posts out, and instead I've placed down a comment for player-maintained establishments as well as for trading and offered services, search parties, and community projects! There are lots of exciting things that players have been working hard on, and lacking a place to easily direct attention to them seems to have been a bit of a problem.

Hopefully going forward I will ACTUALLY be able to keep this a regular monthly thing, especially considering our lovely mods gave me a nice tag for it and everything. uwu Please leave comments below for trading, search party organizing, project recruiting, and anything else you can think of! And feel free to let me know if you have suggestions for what else could be done here!

RESTAURANT/EATIN PLACE AT H5

SO the ruined buildings at H5 include a mess hall, which Tim has been spending several months trying to patch up into something suitable for people to eat and meet up in. He saw a pretty big slow in progress after the event in January, and spent most of February recovering.

He hasn't been super obvious about it since progress has been so slow, but if you're interested in contributing in some fashion let me know!!!

Also she has a lot of pooled favors she could contribute for various means.

Including probably a mana pool so they can get to this place more easily? And some fortification/infrastructure because I notice this area is surrounded by swamp

YEAH those would definitely be handy. Right now Tim has been outsourcing lumber from the monkey compound (read: taking whatever he can from the palisades and surrounding trees and lumber supplies lol) and basically getting by with nails and a hatchet. iirc there's a quarry with stone somewhere though that might be on one of the as of now submerged islands...

He also recently got some sealant/wood protection varnish as an item req so that'll keep the wood from rotting and shit

MONKEY COMPOUND TRAP HELL

Connor . . . has weird reactions to the idea that his space is being encroached on. By which I mean people other than him live in the monkey compound and he hates it, thanks, so he's converted the space around his house into a trap hell. There's nets that will sweep you up. There's Even More Stake Pit. There's trip wires that will fucking throw arrows at you.

It looks like a goddamn Home Alone movie. Please don't try to get into his house. Alternately: do and then ask him how he did any of it. He needs a better hobby than freaking out about someone potentially getting into his house.

. . . oh, he also has torches in front of his house that are sometimes lit at night because January Fucked Him Up.

And he lives near Jullien... who hasn't managed to booby trap his house that much yet, but trust me, he wants to. The thought of these two being so close together is scary.
