March Trading Post

Hello, everyone! This is Casey, player of Edward Elric and Chip Abaroa, bringing the monthly trading post back tot he game! I haven't been keeping on top of this mostly because...well, updating that supplies and mapping bit was next to impossible with my work schedule. So I've dropped that part of these posts out, and instead I've placed down a comment for player-maintained establishments as well as for trading and offered services, search parties, and community projects! There are lots of exciting things that players have been working hard on, and lacking a place to easily direct attention to them seems to have been a bit of a problem.

Hopefully going forward I will ACTUALLY be able to keep this a regular monthly thing, especially considering our lovely mods gave me a nice tag for it and everything. uwu Please leave comments below for trading, search party organizing, project recruiting, and anything else you can think of! And feel free to let me know if you have suggestions for what else could be done here!

Island Walmart / The Store (tm)

The store is set up pretty much every day in the temple ruins. The elves have a spread of their regular wares there, but a lot of their work is special-order with the use of the Fabricate spell. There's a trading post here with a list of available and potential stuff.

I think it's fine to handwave the trading of regular goods with food or other raw materials without needing to comment there. But if you want them to magic up something in particular, we'd prefer if you contact us just so we can make sure it's something the elves can/would actually produce! And to make sure they're getting compensated for it properly, natch. This isn't a pony farm.

This month's purchases come with complimentary wooden ducks!! I mean maybe, I'm not Magnus' mom!!

anyway i looked at this last night and had a thought, SHOULD the elfstablishment still be in the ruins? it could be somewhere else now. does anyone care WHERE it is

they don't wanna carry their shit to the islets and there's not really any other buildings yet, what would they do when it rains? maybe if we ever get an actual... town... they could move.

also everybody knows where the temple is and newbies end up there quickly, i think it makes sense to stay there. and the storyteller is cool with it.

Cough From Hell (tm) plus New Job (also tm) have whacked my tagging drive into the ground but Tataru is literally gonna tell Taako about bein' a one-stop-shop seamstress in her next tag so would it be safe to say negotiations/possible team up is in the works soonish? Maybe?

That would be great! They wouldn't be in direct competition with each other (the elves have made simple special-order garments out of a single raw material before, but it would be very expensive so not a lot of people have probably used that service) so I think the elves would be open to supplying her with stuff in exchange for clothes! They could also sell her clothes in the store and give her the proceeds.

Are there specific supplies or tools she might ask for?

Also Lup has a rad winter coat that got shredded by a shadow monster, she would absolutely pay Tataru for fixing that some time, lmao.
