OOC INTRO: MARCH

State of the Game
Hello again, islanders, and welcome newcomers! You've arrived on the cusp of some brand new developments in terms of plot and exploration both! Islanders last month were given the opportunity to vote for whichever destination they wanted to travel to next, and the decision boiled down to an island that contains civilization. You can read up on the brand new island of Ai'tuoh over HERE!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on March 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but after the first few months, we are going to stop warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Drops. Sometimes games don't click, or RL takes precedence, and that's fine! In those cases, we would vastly prefer it if you used the drop post instead of idling out of the game, as LifeAftr's AC system means it will take up to two months for you to be removed from the comms.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of March - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Permissions: Here since Jules has telepathy
Tell us about them: Jules is a former prince turned Tavali pirate after his family disowned him and put a pretty hefty (and vicious) kill warrant out on him. He pretty much trusts nobody given the number of people after his life, both family and otherwise. He hasn't been here very long, so his distrust and paranoia are pretty high.
Current plans: Definitely need some new CR, especially with people who can deal with a sarcastic asshole that thinks you might be trying to kill him. He's also big into charity, so if there are any obviously clueless/kind characters that don't appear at all threatening and are in need of something, let me know! Jules is already anonymously leaving food for one person on the island. I'm sure we could come up with a way to have him identify a need even if they never officially meet.

He will likely be avoiding our lovely new island since he hasn't explored much of the current ones. Anything he hears about it could make him change his mind, or confirm that he should stay the heck away from there.

Anything else: Turnips. Yeah.

Okay, so I am like really late in here, but I'm playing catch up after getting sick. (Can winter be over yet?)

ANYWAY, I see Jullien is looking for aloe, which we don't have, but Ignis does still have a supply of witch hazel and plants if you want to go that route. Just let me know! /thumbs up

The hardest thing will be getting Jullien to ask, right? LOL!

He would also have to know to ASK Ignis. Either way though, asking him would kind of ruin his plan. He only wants it because with all these exploding birds around people are bound to have burns. He was going to anonymously leave some near the rock so people could help themselves. Trading with Ignis would ruin the anonymity of it, and he doesn't want that.

Oh drat, yeah even though we could probably swing him just hearing about it through the grapevine since Ignis has made no secret he has the plants, asking blows the anonymity of the thing.

Can't have anyone thinking he's a nice guy under all that gruff now, can we? LOL!

More he doesn't want people to accuse him of some ulterior motive for his charity.

That makes sense. After all, if the roles were reversed, he would definitely figure there was an ulterior motive. It's the only way he's stayed alive!

That's pretty much been his history too. Any time he does something kind for someone he's accused of doing it for another reason.
