State of the Game
Hello again, islanders, and welcome newcomers! You've arrived on the cusp of some brand new developments in terms of plot and exploration both! Islanders last month were given the opportunity to vote for whichever destination they wanted to travel to next, and the decision boiled down to an island that contains civilization. You can read up on the brand new island of Ai'tuoh over HERE!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on March 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but after the first few months, we are going to stop warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Drops. Sometimes games don't click, or RL takes precedence, and that's fine! In those cases, we would vastly prefer it if you used the drop post instead of idling out of the game, as LifeAftr's AC system means it will take up to two months for you to be removed from the comms.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of March - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Laurent comes from medieval political intrigue series, which has a lot of nsfw material at the start but I promise it's worth it :,) He's been described as a snake- cold-blooded, venomous, dangerous, will eviscerate you when he opens his mouth, unable to generate his own body heat and desperately craves warmth, kind of just wants to mind his own business please stop disturbing his snake nest, He is without a doubt awful. Don't believe his giant dog boyfriend. If you're a kid, though, you get a free pass and are welcome to pet his horse (with supervision.)

Current plans:
I'm up for anything really! He'll be sneaking around Ai'tuoh when that comes up, let him teach you how not to get arrested.
He is (still) currently a hunter by trade and lives near the FFXV bros on islet 1! There is extra space in his cottage and you will live in close proximity with two horses… but its current residents are literally a couple on their honeymoon so I'm not sure if you want to put up with that
