OOC INTRO ( MARCH )

OOC INTRO: MARCH

State of the Game
Hello again, islanders, and welcome newcomers! You've arrived on the cusp of some brand new developments in terms of plot and exploration both! Islanders last month were given the opportunity to vote for whichever destination they wanted to travel to next, and the decision boiled down to an island that contains civilization. You can read up on the brand new island of Ai'tuoh over HERE!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on March 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but after the first few months, we are going to stop warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Drops. Sometimes games don't click, or RL takes precedence, and that's fine! In those cases, we would vastly prefer it if you used the drop post instead of idling out of the game, as LifeAftr's AC system means it will take up to two months for you to be removed from the comms.
In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of March - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Go ahead and use the template below if you haven't introduced yourself already!

Character: Ginko ([personal profile] onegreeneye)

Permissions: Here! General interaction permissions plus some content warnings, since he’s originally from a horror anime and CRAU’d from a horror game.

Tell us about them: Ginko is a tired furry rock monster who used to be a tired magic pest control guy. He’s overall a pretty sweet guy, though with some incredibly low self-esteem (that he mostly avoids bringing up) and some aggression problems from his time in Ryslig (which he does his best to stomp down). He’s got a huge soft spot for kids and would really appreciate if everyone could chill the fuck out and stop making bad life choices for five minutes.

Current plans: Ginko won’t be spending too long on Ai’tuoh when it goes up, because it makes him VERY uncomfortable, but he WILL be observing the baby phoenixes from a distance a lot and also. You know, running around trying to do damage control when people explode them. And being sad after his totally-not-boyfriend McFucking Dies because that’s what happens when you’re a plant man trying to tame a phoenix.

In general, he’s always on the lookout for people he can help out one way or another, which is most relevant when it comes to basic first-aid or stuff involving plants. I am good with any number of CR types arising from his nosiness; negative CR can be kind of hard to maintain with him since he’s far too forgiving and also usually just avoids people he doesn’t like, but I am not at all opposed to trying.

Anything else:
