OOC INTRO: SEPTEMBER

State of the Game
Hello all, and thank you for an amazing inaugural month! We've been loving the response the game has been getting thus far and are hoping you all enjoy September just as much, if not more! We absolutely welcome and encourage you to share your insights as far as how you've found the game so far, positive and negative, and offer whatever feedback you feel is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on September 3rd, but there are a couple important things that we want to cover before then:

1. Housing. By the time the intro log rolls around, the Storyteller will have amassed enough power to provide characters with housing, which will open up our Housing page for players to fill out depending on who they're rooming with. Said housing will be based around the vicinity of Ensō on a series of islets. You will find more information on the intro log and on the housing page!

2. Transportation. The mana pools double as a means of transportation. All your character must do is pick one of the narcissus flowers that now grow in abundance around the pool and toss it in, as per hinted at by a helpful limerick engraved nearby. Upon speaking their intended destination, they shall be whisked there with a flash of white light! At this time, as the islets are currently the only other locations with a mana pool, even failing to speak the destination will simply plop characters onto one of them at random.

3. Trigger Events. As more of the island is uncovered, we will be implementing this as a new mechanic! Certain squares may be likely to yield certain creatures or occurrences of note - which will then become an island-wide event, depending on the severity of it. There is no knowing when these sorts of events may crop up, but we will be trying our best to stagger them between larger events so there's not too much going on at once! Since, like the exploration squares themselves, they are RNG-based, these events have a random chance to occur at almost any time.

4. Item Requests. We've received a few questions regarding how Item Requests work! In general, we have to take into account what the Storyteller is capable of for any given request. You have until the end of the month to fill out non-compulsory AC. The OOC form is the only one necessary, but IC storytelling might be a nice way to get CR with people you're physically separated from. Those who use non-compulsory AC to make their requests do not need to use their AC immediately. You can instead regard the AC as a sort of coupon to cash in at your leisure.

5. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but after the first few months, we are going to stop warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of September - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! I'm a twitch affiliate for a living and I live stream 2-4 times a week in order to make monies -as well as a lot of Dungeon Mastering and Ingressing. Tags usually coming during morning coffee or before bed time. But I will set time aside for planned threads that need some boomeranging.

Tell us about them: Some brooding prince that knows he'll die soonish, and is all worried about saving the world and stuff. He loves his bros and hate vegetables. Napping and fishing are his favorite hobbies.
Current plans: Looking to branch out right now beyond castmates. Get some new CR, new development. Noctis isn't as worried about home but the weight of his responsibilities as king is still there. I'm sure having a certain weirdo appear on the island isn't going to help much. First month was a bit slow for me because of vacation and health, hopefully this month will be a bit better.

I am a casual gamer owned by two spoiled brat cats, and have no real social life to speak of, which gives me plenty of time to follow the things I like - like, playing games, tagging and having not enough time to do everything I want to do *le weep*. Tell us about them: Welp, Terra here is Final Fantasy VI (random person: "Wha, you mean there's a Final Fantasy before 7?" *bricked*), and she is actually a former Magitek Witch enslaved by the Empire and evil McDouchebag Kefka by way of a mind-control device called the Slave Crown. She's also not fully human. I'm taking her super early in the game, like. Within the first HALF HOUR because I'm evil that way, so Terra here is coming in shortly after the Slave Crown has been removed, and is on the run from several Empire soldiers trying to take her back - and oh yes, she is an amnesiac because the Slave Crown messed with her head that much. She'll not have much on her, just her sword and pendant - and a molehat that I got as present for the test drive. XD
Current plans: I'm game for both positive and negative CR! Being that Terra has amnesia, she's going to be very confused, a tiny bit wary of people who might want to help her, and not really know a whole lot so there's plenty of blank space potential there, I think :D I don't have anything -specific- in mind for her beyond getting a feel for the place, but I'm always open to ideas!~

Tell us about yourself: im a person who has a job and various obligations re: feeding and clothing myself, so im not the fastest tagger but im aight. the best compliment i've ever gotten was when someone came by my apartment and asked if i had 'any more of that dank ass sweet tea' and i think about it every day/whenever someone says dank. if you ever want to feel me shriek with laughter, just cosmically, as a phenomenon, reference any Apple Cabin Foods meme (http://imgur.com/gallery/bn29V). my most prominent username is a triple threat of castlevania/doctor who/homestuck referencing so that's basically the kind of artisanally crafted bullshit you can expect from me.

Taako is a trash elf wizard who is putting his transmutation skills to WORK. hit up the fantasy walmart, you don't even have to be wearing shoes or shirts to get service. Taako is the caution twin to Lup's arson twin status, but i wouldn't count on that to matter a whole lot.
Current plans: all CR is good CR. right now Taako is really working on the store and inventory, because that's a lot, but i do want him to explore more of the island and make hella arcana checks/get menaced by wildlife/etc for sure. basically the hell twins are just gonna try and take over the entire island via marketing and fire.

Okay fo'real-- Wade's basically a chewy nougat of insecurity and abandonment issues wrapped around a layer of witty quips and pop culture references. He's a dual CRAU coming in from havenrpg and sol_raveh, so he's been trying to reconcile his sudden bouts of heroism and compassion with his desire to push people away as a defense mechanism (making friends is hard when you know they'll all die someday and you won't haha...ha), so he's still very conflicted as a result. Expect him to be shallowly funny to a fault until you really get to know him and his inner demons. Deep down, the dude's a mess.
Current plans: Wade's mostly gonna be in Survival Mode for the time being, collecting stores of supplies in order to keep him and his buddies (and his Cubone Tibia) comfortable for the time being. Starvation sucks, yo-- take it from him.

Tell us about yourself: i'm in the uk, she/her, slow because of work and stuff but big on backtagging most of the time
Character: Clementine (takeusback) from the walking dead game (season one specifically)
Tell us about them: Clem is a tiny nine year old who's seen Some Shit in her short life. She's lost pretty much everyone back home and is still dealing with that. She's a little (unsure) around strangers, and still carries her gun everywhere, but it doesn't take too long for her to come round if you seem nice - and if you're not trying to kidnap, kill, eat, patronise or shoot her, you're ok.
Current plans: I'm up for any CR! Positive is more than likely with most I think, given her age and such, so do come at me with those parent/child or sibling or kid buddies CR, or whatever else you can think of. And if you wanna be an enemy of the this little badass also, I'm all for it!!

She's explored the ruins a bit, but I'd like to get her exploring a little more, since she's curious and would be all for it I think, so I'm def here for any of that.
