And I don't know??? I think it's because he doesn't get a lot of screentime and then a lot of his screentime is spent being lambasted by Toriel. But he has more direct on-screen time than Chara and Chara gets featured in way more fics so ???

He has such an interesting story and character though! I always thought it was a very Shakespearean tragedy. So it really is a shame people barely acknowledge he exists. Makes me want to try my hand at writing an Asgore fic
