New Island: Io
NEW ISLAND: IO

In the last round of voting during the monthly Storytelling, it seems that the majority opted to vote for Option Two - an island represented by green flames and strange starburst patterns reminiscent of explosions beside it. And as evidenced by our updated Locations page, by May 10th, this island will be available for exploration via mana pool.
The last month saw everyone's ages fluxing to extremes after contending with the fallout of a volcanic eruption. The locals were far from helpful, to top it all off, and traveler frustrations are understandable. Hopefully, this island will prove more relaxing to you all!
Transportation
Via dream, the Storyteller will inform travelers that, as of May 10th, they may travel via mana pool to the new island. As usual, they can guarantee that, at least in regards to the area in the immediate vicinity of the mana pool, there seems to be no immediate danger if one wishes to arrive by that method.
The mana pool is located at the island's northeast corner, the same location as the island avatar's temple, should the characters elect to use it. In addition, characters are free to sail there on their own, if they so choose.
Lastly, the Storyteller is certain to impart the name of the newest island:
There will be an exploration log for characters to use as a catch-all for investigating the new island, communicating with the local avatar...and having the time of their lives.
Dancing to the Music
While Io may be on the smaller side, it's far from empty. It's also, due to the friendliness of the local avatar and its diminutive size, completely charted - no Search Requests will be required for the island of Io. So take a break from the trials and tribulations of forging into unknown territory, risking predators and heaven knows what else. However, if travelers are still itching to explore, remember that Cahypdo is still present in the archipelago until May 20th!
In the meantime, feel free to get a closer look at any Io's bountiful resources. And what resources there are! From massive Roman-styled bathhouses to sweeping vineyards, sprawling campsites to luxurious tea gardens, the island of Io seems to be specifically geared toward your relaxation, fun, and pleasure. If any of those descriptions pique your interest, we encourage you to can read more about what this island has to offer on its entry on our Locations page.

Well, maybe you needn't worry so much. Once you meet this island's avatar, things might get to be a little clearer.
Keeping My Groove On
The local avatar's temple is jewel-bright and glittering in the sunlight, impossible to ignore in part because it seems to have been liberally festooned with gems - warm red rubies, no less. This seeming impracticality is courtesy of the avatar themself.
Said avatar has plenty of names: Eleu, Octliq, Abaachal, Yiril, the Agave Tempest, or Kasii. The important thing to note is that they are the Avatar of Celebration, and joyfully encapsulate all that implies. Their form might be, initially, alarming to anyone who hasn't met any of LifeAftr's deities before - unlike many of their kin, who take one single, solid form, this avatar's shape is primarily that of a swarm of placid honeybees.

While they're happy to converse with you if necessary, their focus is, unsurprisingly, inspiring as much celebratory delight and relaxation as possible.
As always, we'll have a thread for questions and comments, and we encourage you to make use of our Mod Contact page for private correspondence!

Since Io doesn't seem to have any conventional seasons (or any weather aside from "unrelentingly pleasant), you can find each of these plants in such a state that they're essentially ready to be harvested and...used for whatever purpose.
