Medical Supply Requisitions!

After spending multiple months faffing about, the good doctor will finally, FINALLY be getting around to acquiring better medical supplies for the clinic!
The purpose of this post is to compile a complete list of all medical supplies that will be acquired via storytelling. Once the list is 'completed', it will be taken to Item Requests proper to be appraised and priced accordingly by The Storyteller - Faust himself is somewhat short of stories at the moment, so any stories put forward towards these acquisitions will be greatly appreciated!

So far, Legion ([personal profile] forwearemany) has volunteered two of Nastrandir's Veep to be butchered for their flesh and bones - of which Ed ([personal profile] solperierat) has additionally volunteered to use with his alchemy abilities to make create the following medical implements:

Surgical scalpels, forceps, clamps, suturing needles and scissors - Veep bones
Catgut (suture thread) - Veep guts
Gauze bandages - Palm fronds

Of course, this is intended to be for the benefit of everyone - if you have a specific piece of equipment or type of medication in mind, drop a comment and it'll be added to the list! In addition, if you're holding onto anything you'd like to be added to the clinic stockpile, also drop a comment and I'll add it to the clinic's inventory!
(Keep in mind that any items officially classed as clinic inventory are also automatically integrated into Faust's hammerspace ability, giving him at-will access to any of it at a moment's notice!)

Current Items Requested (LIST IS NOT FINAL):
Adhesive bandages (Faust)
Latex sterile gloves (Faust)
Aloe vera gel (Faust)
Mercury thermometers (Faust)
Free range butter (Faust...?)

Should Faust discover he needs any glass bottles to hold materials, they could mysteriously arrive if Jules has a way of finding out they're needed.

Tachibana likely will ask him outright at some point since he knows Jules was working on glass earlier.

Asgore can provide various herbs and like...vaguely medicinal teas? Maybe those aren't exactly medical supplies but still

Ginko can provide the contents of his first aid kit (though he may want to arrange to hold onto some himself for emergencies and those who might not want to come to the clinic).

He can also provide various plants with medicinal uses, some of which he's been growing in his garden (namely, marigolds, ginger, and cannabis), and others he hasn't managed to transplant effectively but has gathered samples of from around Enso (leaves from the trees that grow pigface berries, though he hasn't yet figured out the uses for the berries themselves, some bitter mushrooms, and the seed pods of bluescythe cradles).

I'm a little late into this because work has just been a roller coaster the last few weeks, but Ignis did some trading with the Roka and he got two very useful plants out of the deal. He's probably had time at this point to get them growing in his garden and would be glad to pass some of them onto the clinic! He will also explain how they work since the Roka were kind enough to explain it to him.

- Sapbrush: Despite the odd name, this spongy and almost mosslike shrub is a useful medical aid. It grows almost perfectly round and pale fruit that are entirely inedible - but juice and flesh have powerful cleansing properties that can help with cleaning and disinfecting injuries. The shrub itself can have parts torn off to use as a sponge or scrub, and be perfectly fine.

- Tharama's Tears: Flowers that grow on the slopes of Mount Tharama, in the mountain's many caves. Poetic name aside, the blossoms can be dried and crushed into powder and mixed with liquid, or steeped in hot water, to create a tea that numbs the drinker's senses, making them less sensitive to pain for several hours. Eating the blossoms fresh will also numb the person who consumes them, though the effect will be much more powerful and set in rapidly, and continue for an entire day before finally fading.

The only thing he is really worried about is having enough bandages around, but it looks like Faust has that covered. /thumbs up

Tachibana'll be working on tincture and salve production and making a note/book of what all goes in each one and the associated plants for 'em.
