Let's Build a Bulletin Board: Take 2

HOT DIGGITY SHIT we're due for a network

Sorry to yank this out from under Zero lmao, but with the "Give Us an iPhone" option ruled out, I'm gonna fall back on Sev's original idea to build a community bulletin board next to Islet 1's mana pool.

This is just one board, mind; there's still plenty of room for other boards at other mana pools or an actual network with people all carrying linked devices or whatever else people might want to propose! I just wanted to put this forward as a way for people to not have to rely on OOC handwaving and off-game inboxes and the like to communicate or organize.

Severs' current plan is for a chalkboard of sorts: a smooth, flat rock that people can write on with chalk. This has the perks of being reusable and relatively typhoon/rain-resistant (though the chalk messages will likely wash off), but it will require a few things:

Necessary supplies:

• A big rock (slate ideal - but anything smooth, flat, and dark will do)


• A stand (wood, clay, or stone - something to keep it in place)


• A roof/shelter (wood, nails/rope, woodworking knowledge - to keep the rain from washing it blank)


• Chalk for writing (She might just make a supply of this her first Storyteller request, if anyone wants to chip in there)


• Bucket for chalk, bucket of water + rag for erasing

It'll need a bit of elbow grease and gathering to get it all set up nicely, and she's just one homeless bum, so this is where all y'all come in!

Any characters out there willing to pitch in supplies and/or labour? It won't need much monthly maintenance or parts once it's built, aside from the chalk replenishing, but the initial setup could make for a nice mingling log if people want to fit one ray of sunshine in before or after the Hell Event coming up!

Ren can offer/help with the chalk situation! She already has some + it's going to be a regular request from her to the Storyteller anyway.

She also has a plastic popcorn bin?? They could use that to hold the chalk or water.

Isabella has somehow ended up with a lot of woodworking supplies: she started with some nails and a saw, and ended up with a second saw and a hammer from the October event. She also knows a bit about thatching, mostly from trial and error.
