OOC INTRO: MARCH

State of the Game
Hello again, islanders, and welcome newcomers! You've arrived on the cusp of some brand new developments in terms of plot and exploration both! Islanders last month were given the opportunity to vote for whichever destination they wanted to travel to next, and the decision boiled down to an island that contains civilization. You can read up on the brand new island of Ai'tuoh over HERE!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on March 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to tag their characters in the comms. This is the only compulsory form of AC we have, but after the first few months, we are going to stop warning people for forgetting to tag their character. Characters who fail AC will be swept. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Drops. Sometimes games don't click, or RL takes precedence, and that's fine! In those cases, we would vastly prefer it if you used the drop post instead of idling out of the game, as LifeAftr's AC system means it will take up to two months for you to be removed from the comms.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of March - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Laurent comes from medieval political intrigue series, which has a lot of nsfw material at the start but I promise it's worth it :,) He's been described as a snake- cold-blooded, venomous, dangerous, will eviscerate you when he opens his mouth, unable to generate his own body heat and desperately craves warmth, kind of just wants to mind his own business please stop disturbing his snake nest, He is without a doubt awful. Don't believe his giant dog boyfriend. If you're a kid, though, you get a free pass and are welcome to pet his horse (with supervision.)

Current plans:
I'm up for anything really! He'll be sneaking around Ai'tuoh when that comes up, let him teach you how not to get arrested.
He is (still) currently a hunter by trade and lives near the FFXV bros on islet 1! There is extra space in his cottage and you will live in close proximity with two horses… but its current residents are literally a couple on their honeymoon so I'm not sure if you want to put up with that

So Shion and Akko made good friends fast. This pleased me. They should continue being good friends, Shion wants to introduce Akko to Aster because Akko is just so cheerful and great to be around.

He can also probably be of use helping Akko learn how to actually survive because he had to learn how to the hard way so he would be up for helping her. Also he is pretty good at first aid, which might be useful to her since she is going to need some burns seen to :/

Tell us about them: Keith is a serious, intense swordsman that used to be part of team space cat. He's got moodiness and sass down pat but if you need someone to leap into danger he's your man. As far as surviving goes he has that down fairly well. Whether knife or sword, he can wield both and pilot like a dream. There is a gentler side to his rough edges but you have to earn your way towards it.

Then there are people who confuse him and will always be side-eyed that works too.
Current plans: Keith is going to put his scouting and stealth to use on the next island. He's gathering resources but is pretty willing to work with a team. He might go do his own thing during said team's mission but rest assured it won't be unless he feels it needs done.

With a pet on hand now he'll be looking to replace his hut with all stone. He likes you baby firebird but no burning down his shack.

Character: Hinata Hajime [thisisourfuture]

Tell us about them: Another guy that just gets things done. Hinata is a man by now and always willing to do his best to understand others. He thinks first, acts second, and sometimes has issues getting between the two actions because life can be hard. Blunt and to the point he'll reach out to everyone even his enemies. He has been the subject of human experimentation and that left him with a lot of issues that he deals with bit by bit.

But he believes we all can move forward into the future no matter what. In his eyes only we can shape our own lives by our own choices.
Current plans: Currently Hinata is seeking to trade for medical supplies and plants he can farm that could be converted to medicines. He's pretty serious about being a doc you can trust. Some of the medical supplies survived the siege but he'll look to replenish his supplies once he gathers the favors for it.

On a whole tho he'll be actively about and there to assist anyone. I'd like to see him gain people he can just talk to and I'll work towards that end.
