State of the Game
Welcome, newcomers, and hello again to the oldcomers! August was a dark time for us all - our character death tally hit new records with the latest event - but that doesn't mean you can't turn this around! You all clearly have a great deal that's been repressed and hidden. Doesn't it feel so much better to have that all out in the open?
...well, we thought so.
We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!
Our intro log will be going up on the comms on September 4th. Until then, a few quick points:
1. Umui. The island of Umui is still present in the archipelago, and has shown no sign of departing anytime soon. There are still some pockets of exploration to be had, and certain characters don't seem to want to say goodbye to ARUM-25 just yet. You might also be interested in looking over the information players have helped consolidate in regards to what is this island's...deal, exactly.In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of August - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!
1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event of your character's death, to let us know so we can account for it. Don't forget to request the removal of your death penalty!
3. New Island. On September 10th, the fourth island the Storyteller promised will be making its debut! This one, if you recall, is laden with a great deal of animals, though the risks and dangers of this new land are not yet known. You can expect more information on what the latest island will entail soon!

Tell us about yourself: My time zone is Canadia EST. I work as a school custodian so my hours for tagging may change here and there, but as the school period is about to begin again they should steady for the time being.
Character: Troupe Master Grimm /
Permissions: Here. Please let me know if you would prefer to not be spoiled for Hollow Knight, the Grimm Troupe DLC or both.
Tell us about them: The theatrical Master of the Grimm Troupe and one of the more difficult boss battles of Hollow Knight. He has a flair for the dramatics and is the bug version of Dracula without being up to his eyeballs in Belmonts. He also happens to be Hallownest's God of Nightmares but personally finds that fact far less interesting.
Current plans: Grimm survived the antics on Umui due to speaking with his CR about some important things, although not all of his personal problems were touched upon. However he gained the Grimmchild charm from the Storyteller and now has his and the the Knight's cute child on Enso!
In addition some time this week or next I will be putting up a IC post asking for volunteers for a little show. After Umui's dangers, Grimm figures it is time for some rest and relaxation, and what could be more relaxing then demonstrating your skills and watching him and the Knight fighting against each other once again?
Regarding CR I am happy with whatever kind you wish to bring to the table, positive or negative. I am also looking to deepen Grimm's current CR so if there is something you'd like to do I'd be happy to thread something out.
