NUIDAN: TASKS & CLAIMS
The Rundown: Active and Passive Tasks
Not to step on the Storyteller's toes, Harv's brand of assistance comes in the form of Tasks that, once completed, will unlock improvements to the islets and other living areas on Enso. The tasks characters may be involved with come in two flavors; Passive or Active:
Passive Tasks are most likely to occur due to meeting a prerequisite task incidentally, such as searching a number of squares on Nuidan, or accomplishing a certain amount of active tasks. These tasks cannot be claimed. Instead, everyone's actions will play a role in meeting the requirements for rewards in this area - some of which may be unlocked at a later date.
[ ♆ ] Limitations: A character may only work on one Active Task at a time. The amount of IC days required to complete said task will be RNG'd. So, for example, if your character picks up a five day task on the 3rd, you won't be able to pick up another task for them until the 8th!Lastly, this post will be linked to both the Search Requests and Locations page for reference, so don't fret that you'll lose the link!
[ ♆ ] Requirements: We will require at least one thread showing your character in the midst of this task. A single thread providing a glimpse into this work is perfectly serviceable, and there will be no requirement to write each task out from start to end. Instead, consider each task to be a log or top-level prompt.
[ ♆ ] Difficulty: Task difficulty is based on how many days, minimum, the task will take to accomplish. More difficult tasks will take longer to accomplish, even in a group.
[ ♆ ] Timing: As mentioned above, the amount of time a task will take to complete will be decided via RNG. However, teaming up with others will reduce the maximum amount of time that task will require. A task that may take one person five days to accomplish may easily be managed by five people in two. If working in a team, make sure to note any characters with which you'll be working. If you do not, they cannot affect the RNG.
The group or character that signs up for the task will be responsible for deciding where on Ensō they would like their reward to be placed, so bear that in mind!

in most cases, active tasks rely on a location or resource having been uncovered via search request before they can begin. If the correct resource has yet to be discovered, we will still accept your claim, and note the relative area of Nuidan that should be investigated.
Forms: Task Selection and Requesting Specific Rewards
Interested in a particular reward or establishment not mentioned? Characters are free to request certain goods or buildings in return for a quest in need of fulfilling; a form has been included below! This list is not set in stone. More tasks will be added as required, so don't worry if you don't immediately get something you had your eye on! If you'd like to participate but are concerned that your character may be physically unable to accomplish any of the above tasks, we are happy to work with you to come up with a solution!

Just need a quick clarification. Are we not able to even start then until the huts are found (even though the start date is listed as the 10th)? I just ask because Iggy knows well how to set up his own curing/smoking stations (he's been doing a smaller version of it for the household for quite sometime), so he would just start with that instead of searching for a whole new area to work in. Granted, what he sets up might not be anywhere near large enough to fill the request in two days. (Especially if he's handing out supplies to help people who are going out to explore. Oops, being too helpful has its downfalls.)
Is this something Harv would mention when handing out the task? Just trying to get my ducks all in a row since I'm going to be gone this weekend and I don't want to hold the rest of the group up if we need to be getting a search request etc in.

To accommodate the initial thread, there are two locations where meet has been stored for curing/smoking; the temple characters have arrived in, and the curing huts located somewhere to the south. Curing is not an exceptionally long task (around 24 hours for stripped meat), thus, the task will be split as one day required in each location. In order to fully complete the task, a search request will need to be undertaken to find the location to the south, but this won't affect your initial starter log thread!
