State of the Game
Hello, and welcome adventurers, old and new! April was a month of changes and cycles and rebirth and renewal, as evidenced by the volcanic eruption on the island of Cahypdo and the strange effects that's had on the ages of characters and NPCs alike. Thankfully, by the time April has concluded, things will be restored to normal...or whatever passes for normal here, in any case.

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on May 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Cahypdo. We recommend that anyone new to the game take the opportunity to read up on the island of Cahypdo, as well as trade with the Roaka, the local populace, if that interests them. Cahypdo will be vanishing when Storytelling goes up on May 20th, so get in any explorations while you can!

2. New Island. The votes are in, and islanders voted to go to the second option presented - the one represented by green flames and strange starburst patterns reminiscent of explosions. The new island will join LifeAftr's shores on May 10th, when it will become accessible for exploration!

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of April - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

oh my god so I don't know HOW this would happen because Klaus generally keeps his power's effects on him Very Secret, but he is literally a font of terrifying supernatural encounters because he can see ghosts, and is also, terrified of ghosts.

but idk either way I wanna throw Klaus at him, im canonblind but have been MEANING to listen to the show...

aaaand I just read about jon's powers on his permissions post now and MAYBE getting klaus to talk would be easier than I expected??? who knows, I dont

You should definitely listen to the show! I've got Jon from Season 4 but he is delightfully sarcastic in Season 1 it's great.

I am sure we can work something out! Jon has managed to get a Statement out of things that really want him dead before so... his compulsion is kind of designed to get people talking. And it's meant to be pretty cathartic to tell him stuff!

I'd definitely be up for them meeting :D

ive just got SOOOO many podcasts im behind on. im subscribed and everything but its been sitting in my list just..... staring at me. rip

yeah I'm sure after Klaus feels the like, cathartic part he'd be like. oh okay im fine with this. and it's not like he'd like... be hostile or anything. he's not like, an aggressive person, he's more likely to deflect than get angry or anything anyway lol.

but yes I'm thrilled about this!!

I know the feeling! My backlog of everything (games, podcasts, movies, TV) is horrendous.

I'm looking forward to it! I mean, Jon is kind of prickly and snarky but he's not completely an asshole. Definitely looking forward to this!
