OOC INTRO: JUNE

State of the Game
...now, now. Don't look at us like that. We know that at least some of you were happy to see the end of Bliss.

Welcome, new arrivals, and hello again to the oldcomers! May sure was a busy month for all of us, wasn't it? Between exploring an island, fighting some sentient plants, and killing a god, you islanders have been awfully busy. The island of Ziziphus won't be around for much longer, we're sorry to say - but we still do recommend that newcomers read up on said island on either the locations page or its introduction post, so they have some context for the intro log!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on June 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. As of last month, we've officially switched to the ACSavior tool! This means that, while we no longer require that you tag your characters in the comms to have your AC counted, we strongly recommend it for housekeeping purposes! Characters who fail AC will be swept. We will also be following up with players who are getting consistent strikes or regularly passing with the bare minimum. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Setting Changes. As we mentioned earlier, Ziziphus won't be around for very much longer - the god that lived there certainly lived there, to a very, er, "in-depth" extent. For those who were with us back in December, you'll be seeing a very familiar shape on the horizon, come this month's intro...

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of June - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

myia is a tall fruit fly girl who is ultra paranoid and ultra vocal about it. shes still very confused about the puny fish not (all) being people and like, some people just own dogs which is kind of fucked up. shes currently pissed about bliss getting bonked real hard because she was totally down for living forever in the world where shes queen and everyone loves her. shes basically a terrible person and im sorry for everyone who interacts with her

merle is a beach dwarf cleric with the personality of jimmy buffett's entire discography and the morality of a guy who told a hypnotized man to walk in front of a train like for funsies and the competence of a man who wasted all his spell slots on spells that arent even available for clerics. he's always on island time, but now that he's on island time, he's chillin. he's newly energized in his faith in pan thanks to the "sign from god" aka the plant owl friend he owns now so he's not ready yet to prostate (sic) himself before ST and beg for his magic god given powers back but hes enough of a cryptid that its likely to happen anyway
