OOC INTRO: JUNE

State of the Game
...now, now. Don't look at us like that. We know that at least some of you were happy to see the end of Bliss.

Welcome, new arrivals, and hello again to the oldcomers! May sure was a busy month for all of us, wasn't it? Between exploring an island, fighting some sentient plants, and killing a god, you islanders have been awfully busy. The island of Ziziphus won't be around for much longer, we're sorry to say - but we still do recommend that newcomers read up on said island on either the locations page or its introduction post, so they have some context for the intro log!

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on June 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Deaths. Remember that, in the event that your character perishes, to let us know so that we can take a note of it, whether or not it counts for your character's total death count! If you're having trouble thinking of a penalty, we can definitely provide one for you. Remember to use the Deaths page for Death Penalty removal as well, once that time is up!

2. AC. As of last month, we've officially switched to the ACSavior tool! This means that, while we no longer require that you tag your characters in the comms to have your AC counted, we strongly recommend it for housekeeping purposes! Characters who fail AC will be swept. We will also be following up with players who are getting consistent strikes or regularly passing with the bare minimum. An additional reminder, also, to make use of the drop post should your time with LifeAftr come at an end instead of simply idling out; it helps us out a lot!

3. Setting Changes. As we mentioned earlier, Ziziphus won't be around for very much longer - the god that lived there certainly lived there, to a very, er, "in-depth" extent. For those who were with us back in December, you'll be seeing a very familiar shape on the horizon, come this month's intro...

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of June - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Laurent comes from medieval political intrigue series, which has a lot of nsfw material at the start but I promise it's worth it :,) He is a snake. He will absolutely sell you out for one corn chip even if he's done nothing of the sort yet. snakes mostly just wanna be left alone tbh ANYWAY YES He is without a doubt awful. Don't believe his giant dog boyfriend. If you're a kid, though, you get a free pass and are welcome to pet his horse (with supervision.)

Yes, he comes with a horse!! If you love horses, come talk to him!!

He also comes with magic, cus he's a soulgemmed CRAU and he's a magical girl!!! (Actually he's a Wraith because of uh reasons but boy is that a long story.)

Current plans:
Laurent celebrated his first DWRP knifing recently! (Sorry, Gladio.) But seriously, I have no real plans and am up for anything.
He is (still) currently a hunter by trade and lives near the FFXV bros on islet 1!

I'd be up for more things with these two. Laurent's on his list of people its safest to be around because he knows if he loses control Laurent will not hesitate to take him down. He appreciates that.

Shion’s right, though- while Laurent doesn't like it, mass arson is a sadly common trait where he comes from so he'll still associate with Shion no problem. Maybe they could do something productive together when the mods spring their Modly Revelations on us!
