OOC INTRO: NOVEMBER

State of the Game
Welcome, newcomers, and hello again to the oldcomers! October was a harrowing month for us all. The Storyteller's absence caused Mu to wreak a little havoc on character pasts, presents, and futures, but now that they've returned, order has at last been restored. Relative order, anyway.

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on November 4th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Umui. The island of Umui will be disappearing by November 5th. There are a still few pockets of exploration to be had - better cover what ground and retrieve what supplies you can while it's still around!

2. Nuidan. The island of Nuidan, on the other hand, is still present in the archipelago. Characters, new and old, are welcome to sign up for tasks and rewards, as well as propose tasks and rewards of their own if it suits them.

3. New Island. The votes are in, and the majority of islanders favored the fourth option presented to them: an island is represented by golden flames, a set of scales, and a number of shapes that resemble birds. As of November 10th, this new island will be making its debut. We'll have more information for you then.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of November - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

I'm sure Nezumi will run into Jules at some point since he and Shion hang out relatively often. If you're alright with dealing with Jules of course. He comes with his own list of warnings and concerns and I'm really careful about who I tag with because of that.

My (wo)man, Jules sounds incredibly fun. I took a quick read, and I'm so down. Nezumi will hate being read, but I'll love it.

I did manage to get his warnings up, if you wanted to take a look and make sure you're okay with Nezumi and his past.

I've seen No. 6, so I'm totally cool with Nezumi. :) He's actually one of my favorites from the series.

Surprise then! Nobody ever knows the League series either, so I understand needing to make sure people are okay with the awful that's canon. Jules will rather understand Nezumi, though he'll be semi jealous that the only people who have screwed with him are strangers and not family.

Hahaha, I'm sorry. I never thought about what would happen if Nezumi met somebody who considered him luckier, and now I'm so very amused. I read your app. W-o-w. Poor guy.

So, yeah, you're probably okay with No. 6 canon. Out of curiosity, which medium are you familiar with? Anime, manga, or Light Novel?

Yeah, Jules had a shit life for a long time. It's going to be rather amusing for him to run into someone here who has his same coping mechanisms of pushing people's buttons to purposefully be an ass too.

Anime, which I'm sure left quite a bit out.

It's going to be really interesting. Jules has a lot of the same hobbies as Nezumi with some of the same skills. I'm sure Nezumi has seen people do bad things to their family, but as you pointed out, his own was never cruel to him. The LN gives us a bit more information about Nezumi's family, which were basically magical forest folk. He even have a little sister that I imagine he cared for. They were killed by No. 6, and an older lady raised him. She taught him to hate and focus on revenge, but she took care of him, which seems like more than Jules can say.

Nezumi will hate Jules for his ability to see into his mind since the ability to act has been one of his greatest weapons. But, if he ever finds out about his past, he'd respect his ability to survive.

Took a look at the intro. Not sure if my sick brain is not understanding exactly what's going on in the prompt or if I simply don't get it. If I am on the right track and all of this is happening in the chamber, I doubt Jules will post in. He stays pretty far away from anything relating to the Storyteller, especially the temples.

You're on the right path. The temple is creating the illusions of the other locations. If there's no opening there for you, that's fine. Just wanted to give you a heads up if you did want to tag in.

Good to hear that I at least get the premise, but yeah, unfortunately no opening. Jules would need to be dragged there kicking and screaming. I'm sure we'll find another way for them to meet though!
