OOC INTRO: JANUARY

State of the Game
Welcome, newcomers, and hello again to the oldcomers! December was a month of tribulations and Trials, many of them literal. The true purpose of the newest island to the archipelago, Maati, was revealed, and you all faced challenges tailored to each of you. Some of you succeeded! And some of you did not.

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on January 5th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Nuidan. The island of Nuidan will be disappearing from the archipelago by January 10th. There's still time to sign up for backdated tasks and rewards before the island is no longer accessible!

2. Maati. The island of Maati is still present in the archipelago. Those of you who opted in to last month's event should let us know if they succeeded or failed, so that they may be rewarded accordingly! Remember, also, to let us know if your character used up all their deaths, and must face a penalty.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of January - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Noctis Lucis Caelum (warpstriking) | Final Fantasy XV

Tell us about them:

Noctis is both heir to the throne of Lucis, the last surviving member of the Lucian royal family that isn't the Final Fantasy equivalent of the Antichrist/Legion demon, but is ultimately a tired young man who feels a Lot of things and wants to help others. This gets him in way over his head. He's also a nerd; don't let the goth rock band look fool you. (spoilers: a lot of goths are nerds, le gasp.)
Allura is also the last of her royal line but has not wandered nearly as much as the other I'm bringing in. We don't talk about the final season in this bar; it doesn't exist. Shh.... Shhhh..... She loves to help others and will do whatever it takes to help those in need. I have a type and I realize this.

Current plans:

For Noctis, I have very few plans for him. I need to get him out a little more, and since he succeeded in the event last month, well... He's a bit more willing to open up and share the burdens he has.
As for Allura... Unfortunately I still have no idea how good or bad her trial went, but I have been running with the assumption that she succeeds... if barely. She's still settling more and getting used to her limits, and she very much needs to figure out how to manage without Altean superstrength because whoo boy, that probably was a Thing in the maze.

So I've been meaning to mention that Pyrrha knew Noctis in a past game.

Except he was older, and basically her dad.

So that may come up... eventually.
