OOC INTRO: JANUARY

State of the Game
Welcome, newcomers, and hello again to the oldcomers! December was a month of tribulations and Trials, many of them literal. The true purpose of the newest island to the archipelago, Maati, was revealed, and you all faced challenges tailored to each of you. Some of you succeeded! And some of you did not.

We've loved the feedback we've gotten about the game thus far, positive and negative, and encourage you to contact us whenever you feel it is necessary!

Our intro log will be going up on the comms on January 5th. Until then, a few quick points:

1. Nuidan. The island of Nuidan will be disappearing from the archipelago by January 10th. There's still time to sign up for backdated tasks and rewards before the island is no longer accessible!

2. Maati. The island of Maati is still present in the archipelago. Those of you who opted in to last month's event should let us know if they succeeded or failed, so that they may be rewarded accordingly! Remember, also, to let us know if your character used up all their deaths, and must face a penalty.

In the meantime, feel free to use this post as an OOC intro and CR meme for the month of January - for new players to introduce themselves, for old players to meet and greet, and for general plotting to occur! If you want to chat or keep up with game updates, we also have both a plurk and a discord channel!

Tell us about them: Asgore is a big sad monster king, who has actually kinda stepped away from the king thing. He's CRAU'd from a murdergame, so most of his plans for the future revolve around returning to his castmates there. As far as here goes, he's working on cultivating a variety of crops around his house, and trying very hard to seem like he's okay all the time.

Currently, he's blind as the result of a death penalty; that'll expire mid-January.
Current plans: Asgore is currently just waiting out his death penalty, but once that's done, I'd love to get him out some more! He's probably going to look into providing Denny with his extra tea once his recently-acquired tea plants are ready for harvesting. Nuidan's disappearance will probably also give him a push to return to Maati, for the sole purpose of collecting seeds from any useful native plants.

He's not gonna put out a call for it or anything, but he could probably use the help! Right now he's just poking around with a big stick and staying close to home. Going out is gonna be a little rough.
